Teolinda Gersão Wins 2025 Urbano Tavares Rodrigues Literary Prize for The Unwritten Autobiography of Martha Freud

FENPROF and SABSEG awarded the Urbano Tavares Rodrigues Literary Prize 2025 to Teolinda Gersão for her novel The Unwritten Autobiography of Martha Freud, unanimously selected by the jury.

The award ceremony took place at the FENPROF Auditorium in Lisbon, in the presence of the author, the promoting institutions, and jury members Paulo Sucena (President) and Paula Mendes Coelho.

The jury highlighted the quality of the writing, the complexity of the narrative, and the strength of the novel’s structure, emphasizing the rigor of the research and the critical intensity with which this literary biography is constructed.
